Once your affairs are settled you will receive a Separation Agreement. Typically as many forty to sixty pages in length, these agreements contain provisions for a wide variety of issues.
Ontario Divorce Finances will provide you with a written summary of the action items required to meet your responsibilities according to the settlement agreement, and to obtain your entitlements. Well also maintain regular contact with you to confirm the completion of all the action items on your personalized “to do” list.
Actions items may include:
- Changing the name on title to homes, cars, bank accounts, or other assets
- Updating insurance policies to reflect new ownership
- Changing beneficiary designations on life insurance contracts
- Obtaining security transfer forms for stock accounts
